Final changes to Federal WOSB Certification and How to Find WOSB Contracting Opportunities
In simple terms... The Small Business Administration (SBA) amended its regulations to implement a statutory requirement to certify Women-Owned Small Business Concerns (WOSBs) and Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Business Concerns (EDWOSBs) participating in the Procurement Program for Women-Owned Small Business Concerns.
The certification requirement applies only to those businesses wishing to compete for set-aside or sole source contracts under the Program, and to those seeking to be awarded multiple award contracts for pools reserved for WOSBs and EDWOSBs.
The Rule takes effect October 15, 2020.
